Introduction
Excel English is a purpose built language school in London. The school was founded by the owner 20 years ago and is accredited by the British Council. We are a founder member of English UK. We are also a memeber of Quality English and one of only five handpicked QE schools in London. The standard of the teaching and all the other services offered are excellent.

The City
Muswell Hill is a 25 minute journey from central London. It is a wealthy residential area with convenient shops, restaurants and bars. It has the benefits of being more relaxed than central London and yet the centre is within easy reach.

The School
Excel English is a member of Quality English and English UK and is accredited by the British Council. We have earned an excellent reputation for quality training and a complete student package so you will enjoy a complete experience of living and studying in London. The school offers General, Examination Preparation and Business English courses plus Work Experience, teenager residential summer vacation and Experience (English plus special interest) programmes, which help us to understand your needs as teachers. Facilities include a self access study area, free internet access and wireless access and our own student room equipt with a modern food preperation area.

The Staff
All our staff are committed to ensuring you will have a wonderful and beneficial experience while at the school. The teachers and administrative staff are always on hand to help. Our native speaker teachers are well trained, professionally qualified and experienced.

The Teachers Course
You will study for 21 hours per week, teaching methodology input based on communicative teaching. All the sessions are very practical and will give you stimulating activities you can use in your own teaching. We also organize cultural and social activities which allow you to appreciate the best of London. The course is suitable for teachers specialising in older teenage and adult students. Start dates January 4th, April 19th, June 7th, July 5th, July 19th, August 2nd, August 16th, October 18th 2010. This course is listed in the LLP database with the course code UK-2009-879-008.



Teachers taking this course study for 28 lessons per week. There are 20 lessons of language enhancement and 8 lessons of teaching methodology. There are also organised cultural activities which participants can join.
The course is suitable for teachers specialising in older teenage and adult students

The Social Programme
There is a full and varied social programme on offer including sightseeing in the centre of London, guided walks, and weekend trips outside London

Facilities
As the school is located in a specially designed building, all the facilities are modern. As well as the classrooms, there is a wonderful self access study room looking out into our woodland garden, free internet access, a student room with modern fited kitchen, and a relaxing patio garden with student seating.

Accommodation  
We offer self catering residence accommodation in summer and Homestay accommodation in January, April and October. All our accommodation is either a walk or short bus journey away from the school. For full details, please see the accommodation section on our home page.
