 English in Chester was established in 1976. It is located in the centre of the historic city of Chester in North West England.
THE
SCHOOL
The school occupies 3 houses, built in the 1870’s, in a quiet square near the city centre, offering a spacious and pleasant studying environment. Each building has a common room, a language laboratory and computer facilities. There is a good Self Access Centre and excellent resources for teachers.
THE CITY
Chester is a walled Roman city (population 120,000) and is an important tourist centre attracting 5 million visitors a year. It is an excellent centre for visitors to Britain who want to discover a very special English city that is historic, beautiful and full of life.
THE SOCIAL
PROGRAMME
We offer an optional
excursion programme with reasonably priced events. There are full-day
excursions on Saturdays (e.g. York, the Lake District, Liverpool, North Wales)
with afternoon/evening events at least once a week.

All aspects of language are covered with an emphasis on speaking and listening.

Cambridge Examination courses
