IATEFL - linking, supporting and developing teachers’ worldwide –IATEFL TEA SIG news     THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (IATEFL) was founded in 1967 to identify the needs of teachers from a wide range of educational contexts across the world, and to provide opportunities for them to share and benefit from each other's practical classroom experiences.       Since then we have grown steadily and have over 3500 members worldwide - many through our Wider Membership Scheme. Each year we have a conference attended by more than 1400 delegates, with over 300 talks, workshops and presentations.
